We’re excited that you’re considering this opportunity to launch your career in tattooing. This immersive program offers structured, hands-on training led by two exceptional mentors:
Ken, a tattoo artist with over 26 years of experience
Rob, an award-winning fine-line tattoo artist
Unlike traditional unpaid apprenticeships, this program provides a clear, accelerated path to becoming a professional tattoo artist — combining technical skill-building with real industry insight.
Program Overview
Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays, 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 16 weeks of in-person training, followed by a 1-year residency at Yant Studio
Location: The Apprentice Studio inside Yant Tattoo Studio, Forest Hills, Queens
Tuition: $9,500 (payment plan available in 11 installments)
Application Fee: $1,000 (non-refundable unless not accepted after interview)
Application Deadline: June 30, 2025
Program Start Date: July 2025
Admission Requirements
To be eligible, applicants must:
Be at least 18 years old
Submit a portfolio of at least 50 original artworks (drawings preferred; other mediums welcome)
Own an iPad or tablet suitable for digital design
Demonstrate strong commitment and passion for tattooing
Commit fully to attending and participating in the full 16-week training
Pass an interview with our mentor team
